Clay – Playdoh or homemade salt dough.
Paper plate or something for the sculpture to sit on while it dries
Piece of colored cardstock or cardboard (from a cereal or cracker box, or a paper plate)
Acrylic craft paint
Small paintbrush (optional)
Paint dotter – something to make paint dots, the back end of a paintbrush, pencil tip, q-tip, or other stick.
Items to stick into the alebrije for tails, ears, horns, etc. – popsicle sticks, tooth picks,sucker sticks, match sticks, skewers, nails, wax sticks, q-tips, wire, colored electrical wire, pipe cleaners, straws, sticks and twigs, leaves, dried weeds, pebbles, beads, or other items.
